Pool Fence Inspections | Melbourne & Surrounds

There is no better way to enjoy the Australian summer than to spend it cooling down and splashing about in the pool. However, with this in mind, it is crucial to prioritise the safety of your pool area to ensure that everyone can relish the summertime with peace of mind --- that's where our pool fence inspections come in. At FMA, we conduct swimming pool safety inspections in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula to ensure that your pool meets industry regulations and remains safe for the whole family to enjoy.

Safety Is Our Number One Priority

As pool barrier experts, ensuring our client's safety is number one on our list of priorities. That is why, in addition to installing new fences and repairing existing ones, we also conduct comprehensive pool safety fence inspections in Melbourne and surrounds. Having an inspection completed ensures that your barrier is in compliance with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) standards and that your barrier remains safe for you and your family.

The Importance of Pool Safety Barrier Inspections

Pool and spa barriers in Melbourne are subject to the regulations set by the VBA. Since December 2019, homeowners with a pool or spa on their property are required to register it with their local council. In addition to this, they must obtain a certificate of barrier compliance to ensure adherence to these safety regulations. If the safety barrier is not compliant, it is up to the homeowner to make it as such.

How We Can Help

For the last decade, FMA have been the go-to experts for local pool barrier safety, dedicated to enhancing the safety of Melbourne homes. We’ve been able to do this through our comprehensive swimming pool safety inspections, installation, and maintenance services. Fully licensed and registered with the VBA, we conduct general pool safety inspections to determine whether your pool meets the regulations set by the VBA. From this, we're able to provide you with either a certificate of pool safety compliance or a barrier improvement notice.

If you receive the latter, indicating a barrier improvement notice, your current pool safety barrier either needs to be fixed or replaced. Fortunately, at FMA, we also provide installation and maintenance services for both aluminium and glass fences to ensure your pool safety barrier is compliant with VBA regulations.

Our Process:

As a licensed inspector authorised by the VBA, we provide comprehensive pool fence safety inspections for residential properties across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Explore below how we can help you:

    Certificate of Barrier Compliance

Once the work has been completed, our team will complete a final compliance check to ensure everything is in accordance with safety standards. From this, we’ll provide you with a certificate of barrier compliance, which you can then lodge with your local council. It is important to note that the certificate is only valid for thirty days and must be lodged within this time frame. For more information, explore the VBA's page on pool and barrier compliance.
